The mountain village of Pangkhon is located in Thailand’s northernmost province Chiang Rai. Sharing a border with Myanmar and Laos, in the Golden Triangle, once the most extensive opium-producing region in the world. Following the opium cultivation ban, Chiang Rai gradually transformed into a tourist destination famous for its mountains full of vegetation, fruit and nuts. With an abundance of verdant forests and nourishment supplied by the Mekong and Sai rivers, Chiang Rai possesses a highly diverse ecosystem which is especially ideal for growing coffee. The Arabica coffee grown in the region has earned the praise of connoisseurs over the world in recent years.

Tasting notes: A well-balanced coffee with a hint of orange zest aroma, subdued acidity, notes of walnut, black tea and a bittersweet aftertaste. 

Coffee beans are handpicked by the indigenous Akha hill tribe in Pangkhon Village and freshly roasted in Hong Kong.

Preparation & brewing: Ground just prior to brewing. Use pour-over equipment and freshly boiled water (90° C -95° C).

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, airtight container.Once opened, best consumed within 2 weeks.
